I found a price for less somewhere else?

Work with the company that provides a professional rental product. Any one can rent a chair cover and organza sash from somewhere on the web for $2. You get what you pay for. We process many last minute orders at much higher prices correcting a situation gone bad in these cases the day before the event. What if the shipper incorrectly routes your shipment to Alaska? With all rental companies you’re still liable…A Boulder Affair has the inventory and the mindset to correct these issues, most smaller companies don’t have the inventory to replace your lost shipment and most large companies say its not my problem. We do. We hand inspect and fold every item before it leaves our warehouse. We also provide you with customer service that we can say most do not…referrals are AN extremely important part of our business.

   
How is my order checked back into your inventory?
Once an order is returned, it is hand counted and checked for damage twice by our staff.  Once the counting is completed, our incoming supervisor will verify the order and notify the client of any discrepancy.  Unresolved discrepancies with returned orders will be added to an updated contract with any additional charges which may apply.
 
How can I help prevent missing or damaged items?
Unfortunately, items are periodically missing or damaged during or after an event.  However, through our years of experience, we have learned a few ways to help prevent loss and damages.

Discuss with your caterer or organizer the importance of not removing any items from the event which are the property of A Boulder Affair.

Make specific note of any specialty linens such as cake table or registration table linens, which should be gathered and placed with the rest of the order.

If any items need to be removed before or during the event, have them stored in a secure location and placed with the order after the event.

Discuss with the facility staff the importance of taking care when removing the linens, especially if dealing with candles.  Hot wax can severely damage fine linens, so be sure that the candles are extinguished and that the wax has solidified before they are removed.
 
What is the Damage Waiver?
A Boulder Affair may offer an optional 6% damage waiver on selected orders, which can cover additional charges for wax damage, burns, holes, tears, etc.  The damage waiver does not protect against abuse or loss.
 
If an item does become damaged, can I keep it?
If an item does become damaged during rental, the client may have the option of purchasing it at a specified price.  Please note that the purchase price may differ from the replacement price.

How do I select my linens from A Boulder Affair?
You may select from the seemingly endless array of fabrics in our existing inventory, or share your vision with us to create a truly one-of-a kind look.  Shop online to preview your options and make an initial selection, or consult with our experienced professional staff to make your vision reality.
 
How do we secure a contract with A Boulder Affair?
All contracts require a 50% deposit, a signed contract and a signed Terms and Conditions including credit card information, which will be filed to hold your date and the items listed in the contract.  No orders are held or processed until all three items have been submitted.
 
When is the balance of the contract due?
All balances must be paid in full prior to your event.  We ask that your final payment be received no later than three days before your event.  Any additions to the contract due to last minute changes will be posted to the credit card on file the following business day.
 
What happens if we need to cancel our contract?
Once a contract has been signed and/or deposit has been paid, that contract is confirmed.  Items on the contract may increase or decrease after the order is confirmed.  However, the deposit secures 50% of the total order.  Therefore, you may remove an item if necessary, and when the final payment is made the difference on the changed order is what is paid. If your order is NOT a customized order a FULL refund will be given up to 30 days BEFORe your event date. 30 to 15 days prior to your event a refund of 75% can be made. Thereafter (0 -15 days) the deposit is non-refundable.

All cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your event.  Once your order leaves our premises, full charges will apply.
 
Does A Boulder Affair contribute to charitable organizations or events?
We are delighted to offer all fundraising organizations a 25% underwriting discount from our standard rental pricing.  However, all items must be selected from our existing inventory, and your charity will be responsible for picking up, installing and returning your order.
 
What are your installation procedures?
Once you've made your selections, and requested our setup and delivery option, relax and let us handle the details.   Our staff will confirm the set-up time with your event facility several days prior to your event, again on the day prior, and provide documents specifying all of the final details of your event.
 
How and when will my order be delivered and picked up?
Delivery and pick up details naturally differ depending on the location of your event.

For local events (Boulder County), all Monday through Thursday event orders will be picked up the day after the event.  All Friday, Saturday or Sunday events are picked up the following Monday.  All delivery and pick up charges are associated by ZIP code.

We also offer local late night pick-up for an additional $150 per van as needed.

Our drivers are required to count all items upon pick-up.  If there is a discrepancy, the driver must obtain a signature from the client or facility verifying any missing items.

For out of town events, A Boulder Affair will handle all shipping confirmations and tracking.  We will also confirm your order with you the day it is to ship from our location.  In addition, on the day it is to return to us, we will fax you return labels to affix to the boxes for your convenience, and of course handle all return tracking as well.

Please note that if an order is returned by a method other that that specified in your contract, you may incur additional charges.
